AutoBlueberry (Dutch Passion)
To get the taste of blueberries it's recommended to grow it organically and in soil. Autoblueberry is also a good outdoor strain. You may get phenos that flower for extra 4 weeks. To ensure better light penetration use ScrOG or LST. Pruning the bottom branches is also a good idea. The roots love big pots (4-5 gallons) and below average nutrient levels. The leaves turn the beautiful purple and blue colors, especially if night temperatures are in the lower range. Starting from week 5 you'll have strong odor (cat piss, manure).
A medium-strong stone accompanied by a nice head high without paranoia. It comes on quick, relaxes your body and eases the pain. In large doses it makes one sleepy. Patients with higher tolerance can use it throughout the day and inexperienced smokers - only in the evening.
When grown organically and in soil, the buds really taste like blueberries, especially after a good cure. Other flavors include skunk and cat piss. The smoke is very smooth.

AutoBlueberry has quickly become the connoisseur choice of AutoFem. It combines authentic Blueberry aroma and flavour thanks to a careful breeding program which crossed a very special Blueberry female with an indica dominant auto. Selective back-crossing until the F4 generation gave a fully automatic Blueberry, the F4 was self-pollinated to create the F5 seeds which have become a must-grow variety for anyone looking for a luxurious genuine Blueberry experience in a fast AutoFem form.
Most plants have the famous Blueberry flavours and colours; she will yield very well with dense solid buds that are soaked with resin and are very potent. AutoBlueberry gives a smooth, hugely enjoyable yet powerful Indica effect which lasts several hours. Everyone should try growing this variety at least once!
Grew 2 under 400w HPS in a small grow in soil. One took 11wks, which yeilded 160g. Awaiting second as its going over the 12wks.
What a trooper! Its been a terrible spring in Scotland - I have failed to grow all sorts of things like carrots and peas - but this Autoblueberry in my greenhouse has really impressed. My thermometer has recorded a low of -0.1 degrees! This is one tough plant. And it flowered exactly at 10 weeks. Yields won't be fantastic, but thats because of the weather. Can't imagine how awesome this will be in a good, or even an average spring
Cat 4 (dutch-passion.nl):
have grown these many times and on my 9th grow of these and have to say thay never disapoint in anyway
I purposely grew this strain in smaller pots to get smaller plants due to space. week 6 = heaven starts. so many hairs, buds are getting thicker by the day, give them a gently squeeze and ii swear to you it smells just like fresh blueberries!!!! simply amazing!
On my first grow i grew the auto Blueberry, Polarlights #2 and 2 auto Mazar's under a 400w and a 600w hps in soil. She went 11 weeks for me and i ended up getting just under 140g from her alone. I was very happy with the smoke even before it had been cured. It has such a fruity taste and very hard hiting stone with a nice high. I would recommend growing this strain it has been my favorite so far and you cant complain about the yeilds.
I first smoked Blueberry in the coffeeshops when I was a student so I wanted to try this AutoBlueberry. The seeds arrived 4 days after I made the order and came in a solid cardboard box, I planted all 3 of them and they germinated from the soil in 3 days after I had soaked the seeds overnight in water. It was the first auto I ever grew so I followed the instruction and grew them for 10 weeks in hydro. By the end they were around 1m high on average. They were all good but one was specially sticky and heavily budded. It was a fast hitting stone and a long lasting one too. My mate was as pleased as I was with it. The good things I have heard about Auto's recently are true, I am happy to grow this one again. Very easy to look after too. Light was 400w, on for 20 hours off for 4 hours as recommended.
Car salesman 1978 (dutch-passion.nl):
AutoBlueberry is my favourite auto so far. It is a killer smoke, miles better than 'street weed', and like all auto's it is easy to grow. I got around 75g per plant from an indoor hydro grow and I am far from being a 'good' grower. Next I want to see how the other DP auto's compare to this.
i have a dutch passion auto blueberry right now and it is growing fantastic, if you touch your fingers to the buds it smells like strait blueberry. mmmm i love it... auto blue from dp is probly the best auto ive grown, they did a good job on this one
im doing an auto blueberry from right now from dutch passion but im only doing 1 plants cause i wanted a varitey this crop so im doing 1 plant per strain the auto blueberry is turning out very nice accually ts still got about 4weeks left to go but its covered in bud already kinda fox tail shaped buds its still got alot of time to grow on those buds too as of right now it is 100% female and lookin fine. the leafs have a purplish blue tinge the plant s rather large for an auto measuring in at over a metre yeah can definatly see alittle of the sativa coming out but its definatly still indica domnate the strain beside it that im doing is a green o matic from greenhouse seeds it height is about 20 inchs but it is loaded with bud i'd say it has about 2 to 3 weeks left already its frosted all over a very enjoyable strain to grow easy no fuss plant the auto bluberry on the other hand is alittle finicky it requires more attention but all around its still a nice strain dont understand whwy so many people are complaining about it im rather new to the game and my plant is turning out amazing but i guess well have to wait and see
Had the pleasure of autos for sum time now, and hav come across many varied strains, the one i wud always go back to and advise anyone to try is DP's auto blueberry, great plant, great smoke! I used 400w hps in organic set-up and got jus over or close to an oz per plant! Each plant has its difference in smoke, some more skunky/blueberry than others, but the quality is always there! Hats off to DPs Auto Blue!
AutoBlueberry has a good reputation amongst those that love good taste and flavours. I would freely admit it isn't one with reputation for the best yields from our range. My personal opinion - good quality high, fruity taste and reasonable yields. Not a bad combo from an auto.
am growing one now. 45 days since sprouting. i how by now it stopped growing taller as it filled whole crow cabinet. The plant is now 70cm wide, 40 deep, 65 tall. i have to do some crazy lst to keep it from touching the lights... so yeah it can get pretty big... although height of mine got out of control it isn't hermie yet and i hope it won't be. besides the height i had no probs at all. very strong plant... maybe regular blueberry strain is a pain in the ass to grow, but i didn't have a single problem with my Auto Blueberry
Out of the 2 i ordered, 1 made it healthy and it wasnt a hermie. It was actually some really killer shit. The leaves and some of the buds went completely purple it was grown outdoor. it was only about 1ft tall from the pot cus i lst'd the main stem sideways, yielded about 1/2 oz
im doing a auto blueberry grow from dutch passion its doing great so far the plants alittle on the big side but dont see that as a problem my auto blueberry is like alittle over 3 feet tall and a thirsty plant i have it in a 2 gallon container and when i give it 3 L the soil is bone dry in 3 days like bone dry tho can stick my finger all the way into the soil and t doesent even get moist but yeah so far it isent a hermie but its got about 4 weeks to go so will see its starting to turn purple too im growing one auto blue from dp and 1 green o matic the auto blue is 3 times the size of the green o matic but the green o matic will finnish 2 weeks earlyer and probably have bigger buds but still they are both very nice in there own way ... im using a 150w sun systems hps... the plants almost 6 weeks old and its already 1 metre tall i wouldent use this strain for a small pc grow

Grow Report #1
This week we follow Dutch Passion grower ‘Insert’ who used a 400W cool tube adjusta-wing HPS light in a DWC (deep water culture) hydro system to produce a great looking AutoBlueberry which went on to yield 161g of top quality dry bud.
‘Insert’ used the AN Sensi Grow and Bloom two part feed during the grow. He also decided to make the most of his 400W HPS light by tying down the AutoBlueberry blooms to a metal grid he made. This technique is called LST (low stress training), and it allows a flat canopy where all the buds are a roughly equal distance from the light. Insert explains his technique:
“I used the LST for many reasons, one because I had heard that LST could give bigger yields, it was something different and I wanted to improve my level of experience. I was curious to see if it would work, and it did, and I had two different strains growing at the same time, so I wanted to make sure that I could control the height of the plant, I wanted to get the most out of my HPS. The best part about it was that there was almost no popcorn buds, it was like having a plant with like 30 tops!!”
“During the growth, the canna smell came on nice and early, but it was very smooth, a real treat. With the AutoBlueberry you learn quickly why the strain is called Blueberry, the smell was amazing, very fruity, and dank! On the cured bud, the Blueberry/fruity smell comes out strongly, I don’t get that strong citrus smell that I had with the Tundra, it is fruit. I liken it to a fresh baked blueberry muffin sitting next to a steaming cup of coffee, but don’t get me wrong, she still smells like weed!”
“Smoking the AutoBlueberry is a pleasure. It is a smooth smoke, that in a pipe or pure joint, it is easy going. The buzz comes on slow behind the eyes, and then migrates to head, and within five to ten minutes your whole body is buzzing. It is not the Indica that I feared, not paralysing, just right. I can get up and move around when I want, but if I want to watch a movie, I can be the couch. I have not noticed any paranoia with the AutoBlueberry. “
"I did notice that it leaves me with the slightest feeling of heavyness in the morning after, but again, put your feet on the floor, and you’re good to go. I find myself thinking that I could take another puff or two after about 2-2.5 hrs, but the buzz stays well into 4hrs, especially if you don’t hit the munchies. AutoBlueberry does not pull me to the fridge, but if the food is out, it tastes great, and I eat it with gusto.”
The main advice that Insert gives to future growers of AutoBlueberry is to be patient with the plant and resist the temptation to over-feed her. Insert found she grew best with a relatively light feed of ec 1.2.
“If you have your pH and EC meters calibrated, and you have the time to monitor your grow daily she will reward you with loads of top-shelf smoke. I think that growing this strain taught me to not over react at every little spot or change. She had some leaves going yellow and looked like she had some deficiencies, but she went all the way to the end and went HEAVY!
Would I grow it again……??????? Well I still have two seeds... Of course I would grow it again, and hopefully the next time, even better!”
Grow Report #2
This weeks blog follows Robwars who rates AutoBlueberry as his personal favourite.
Robwars grew AutoBlueberry in 10 litre (2 gallon) airpots. These are proving very popular with auto-growers. They allow a well-aerated root ball to develop, the numerous air-holes allowing good oxygen levels to support a healthy root system. The dimpled structure to the walls of the airpots force the roots into the centre of the plant pot. This avoids roots circling around the sides and bottom of the pot, which sometimes happens with traditional plant pots.
Fox Farms ‘happy frog’ soil was used along with a range of additives which Robwars has been carefully fine-tuning. He grew his AutoBlueberry under two Blackstar 240W LED units, a total of just under 500W. The light system was 20 hours ‘lights on’ followed by 4 hours ‘darkness’. The AutoBlueberry was harvested after 12 weeks (84 days after germination).
Here are a few words from Robwars about her:
“The blueberry is a beast. By far my favorite auto grown to date and I always have one going. She started out strong right from the start and was an absolute dream grow. Once she started flowering I cut the bottom branches off and I tied her down and spread her apart for more light penetration.
It worked just as I had hoped and all her energy went to producing the densest buds I've ever seen let alone grown. It was also my personal best at 243 grams. My friend said it best when she said "it's like grinding up rocks" as she struggled with the grinder. LOL
The smoke is amazing, take a couple puffs and you're off to a nice heady high, take a few more and it's bed time. Perfect in my book.
The smell is a little different then I have had before in my previous AutoBlueberry grows. This one smelled like cat piss from a distance but when you got up close she gave off that sweet blueberry that I am used to. The smell carried over after harvest as well, I open my jars and it's raining cat piss and then I move in for a closer whiff and it's sweet fruity goodness. Oh and don't worry the sweet fruity goodness comes through when smoked as well.”
Grow Report #3
Seymour Buds, one of the Autoflower/LED pioneers, grew a AutoBlueberry in deep-water-culture (in a 20L container) with LED lights.
The following comments are from the grower himself:
“Looking back over the grow and asking myself the question "what would i have done different"? my response would have to be to have given her the full grow space to herself and the full 600 watts of LED”
“I don’t even think I have pushed the boundaries to what is achievable with this strain and I put to rest all those rumours of the blueberry being a fussy eater and being hermie-prone etc, this girl has been the most easiest and tolerant plant to date, her pH always stayed bang on point where ever I set it and if it wasn’t for the collapse in the grow i would have been looking at an incredible yield although I’m still in for probably the best return seen from this strain”
“Her buds are rock solid and her aroma is really hashy with the distinctive blueberry mixed in, you can’t go wrong with this strain but definitely a night time smoke!”
Grow report #4
In this grow 'Organic Jim' produced a sensational AutoBlueberry which yielded 200g of dry buds from a plant grown under a 400w HPS light in a 6.5 litre container of coco fibre. Occasionally AutoBlueberry will go ‘super-auto’ and take an extra 2-3 weeks to finish. Organic Jim’s AutoBlueberry was harvested after 14 weeks but as you will see, it was well worth waiting for with massive blooms and a super-heavy 200g yield.
The quotes below are from Organic Jim:
“She's really easy to grow in coco, I germinated the seed then planted in a 6.5L pot of moist coir (coco fibre). They don't get grow feed, just weak bloom feed to begin with, then increased feed strength as the plant grows. I decreased feed near the end to a one week pure water flush. No actual problems except for the Super-Auto which overran the schedule by 4 weeks (usually 10 weeks from seed to weed), but wow, it was worth it and not really a problem as such!
The smell and taste of the 3 Auto Blueberry I have had so far have been leaning toward the Afghani hashy indica side of the family tree, really spicy and skunky Indica taste with a subtle sweet blueberry aftertaste on the exhale.
The high is very positive and blissful. It is strong but not overbearing, although people with low tolerance (or occasional smokers) will find themselves extremely stoned.”
Question: Is there anything you would do different if you were to grow AutoBlueberry again?
Organic Jim: “Yes, in all previous grows of Auto Blueberry I have left all growth intact. In retrospect I would have trimmed the lower growth early on.”
Question: Any advice to someone thinking of growing AutoBlueberry?
Organic Jim: “Do it and do it now! You will certainly need odour control as the cannabis smell from week 5 onwards is very powerful. The Blueberry aroma is best when soil grown, the coco coir brings out the skunky Afghani taste more.”
“For me, the Auto Blueberry gives a very comfortable high which lowers anxiety in smaller doses. If you have a larger dose or use it for play its very sedating. If used during the night there's a very active mind period before drifting back off to sleep, so there are better strains for insomnia.”
Grow Report #5
The grow review in this weeks blog shows how easy it is for the home grower to produce 200g+ yields of genuine top quality cannabis from a single AutoFem plant.
The comments come from Tang:
“This was the fourth AutoBlueberry I had grown and my biggest so far, it's unsurprisingly become a classic in the auto world with its amazing smell and taste. It’s my personal favourite. This AutoBlueberry was grown in a 15L Airpot filled with Plagron Light mix soil then fed Advanced Nutrients from day 10. The light was a Grownorthern MS0006 (190w) with 2 Rebel upgrades fitted with a schedule of 20hrs light-on, 4hrs off.”
“From very early on this plant had rapid growth throwing out multiple side branches she was so fast in fact she was only fed veg nutrients for 20 days before being flushed at day 30 and put on Sensi Bloom. From quite early on in veg you pick up the sweet fragrance but it's not until full bloom do you get the amazingly powerful smell,I would like to say its fruity but it's more of a sugary candy shop sweetness that fills the air.”
“In total this AutoBlueberry took 81 days with no problems along the way. She was fed the same strength as strains like Think different and AutoXtreme (around 1.8EC at max) and loved it so the myth that Blueberry is a fussy eater shouldn't put people off. I had some of the beautiful autumnal colours from where the strain got its name come through by the end and she also got fatter than I could have ever imagined yielding 246g dry.“
“The cured buds are wonderfully sticky and stinky and there are some very strong sweet flavours while vaporising. The high is a heavy indica one and defiantly one for after work although I've been mixing the Auto Blueberry with Auto Durban Poison and the taste and buzz is perfect especially for days in the sun. Overall an easy strain to grow that can give high yields of connoisseur grade buds.”
