Bubba Kush (Green House Seeds)
Bubba Kush from Geenhouse Seeds is not related to the famous Californian clone-only strain but still worthy your attention. This weed has a thick stem, great fleshy leaves and grows very slowly in veg. From time to time you will see some hermies but they appear in the first weeks of flowering, before you loose much time with them. By extending the vegetative period you'll have big plants with substantial harvests of dense frosty buds, especially in 'sea of green' setups. Outside (in very warm climates), Bubba Kush will grow into a tall and wide bush.
Pretty strong, relaxing, couchlocky. Great for pain. It hits you immediately but is not always long lasting.
A night-time smoke. It is difficult to use it during the day and remain functional.
Kushy smell but more bubblegumy and coffee-like than the clone-only original.
Effect: Relaxing, narcotic, Long lasting.
Flowering indoor: 9 weeks
Flowering outdoor: Ripe at the end of October (Europe)
ALL THE CHARACTERISTICS ON THIS PLANT IS QUITE DIFFERENT FROM ALL BUBBA'S MAKING THIS STRAIN UNIQUE AND I MEAN THAT IN THE VERY GOOD POSITIVE WAY AROMA/TASTE/YIELD/POTENCY ARE VERY GOOD 2 AWESOME BUY IT M8S
I've been growing her for two years already and I must say that I'm perfectly satisfied. There are two phenos: one is super sweet, the other - sour... The first one is very resinous and ready in 60 days, it smells very kushy and makes you extremely stoned, one of the best strains for me. I really recommend it. An awesome strain.

under led lights bk grows to be good size with large dense buds.high potency at 55 days much stronger at 60 to 70 days . how high do you need to get?2 hits as opposed to 3 or 4. grow it and enjoy.
There were only a handful of coffee shops in Amsterdam that had some Kush on their menu’s. So when I saw Bubba Kush on the menu at The Greenhouse, I was anxious to give it a try and see how it compares to the killer Kush I smoke at home.
From: The Greenhouse (Coffee Shop)
Price: Appx. $10/Gram 5 gram max.
Looks: Like your typical Kush. Light green nugs with bright orange hairs and thick leaves.
Smell: Mellow Kush aroma. Hint of citrus which is unusual for a good Kush in my experience.
Taste: Cured very well so the taste was spot on. Very "green" chronic taste.
Buzz Type: Hard hitting indica buzz hit me right when I took my first hit. Just what the doctor ordered!
Buzz Length: Short. I am not sure if it was all the weed I was smoking that killed the buzz or if this weed was just not that strong. I was surprised at how quickly I sobered up after having smoked a little over a gram about an hour earlier.
Overall: A good indica that got me really high but wore of too quick. But I’d rather be tore up for an hour than have a good head change for 2.
Buzz Report: While sitting in The Greenhouse getting ripped one afternoon I decided to sample some of their Kush. I smoke about 0.5g in their house bong and the rest in a joint. I was REALLY high for about an hour. I smoked a little hash but nothing else. The buzz wore off and left me wanting more.

Im growing some bubba kush from GH and other than the nute burn i got rite now in flowering i think its going to be a killer. FAT LEAVES ARE HUGE.. About 12~13 inches WIDE.
Vegging was really slow compared to GH;s white rhino but once it went inside 12/12 It was going fast. Too bad i had to flush. 2/3 weeks in 12/12
bubba kush is great grown it in soil n it was great producer 4 me great bud
i just finished a ghs bubba kush grow. its very nice, long lasting strong body high. tastes and smells slightly sweet and lemony, but i heard with a good cure that it should taste more bubblegummy. i really liked this strain, the nugs are rock hard and one small nug breaks up into a pile of bud. definitely going to grow this strain again, 8/10
I finished a GH BK grow not too long ago and I wish I let it go just a bit longer. Even at 8 weeks it was absolutely delicious. The high was about right for 8 weeks... strong but not overwhelming.. this time I'm going to let it go a full 9 weeks.
I grew it out as well... Freebie from the tude. I thought it was lovely stuff!
OK, my GHS Bubba (feminized) hermied on me. All the clones and the flowering mom decided to go for it. I hate that. I guess it could be said that is the risk with feminized seeds, but still. SLH has been fine and seems to be a great plant. Bubba is going bye-bye.
Fatty R Buckle:
I'm growing the GHS bubba as we speak.. kick ass weed and hate to say it that its just as good as beans twice the price from other breeders...
I have never had any issues with Greenhouse seeds, 100% germ rate and no hermies. I have their Bubba Kush outside right now, it's probably the strongest healthiest plant I have right now at about 9' tall. Definitely a strain I am going to hold on to. Have not seen the finished product yet but I am sure it will be good!
Green house bubba right here, jus starting to flower, stinks like amazing skunk. Kinda slow on the veg. Guna be a long flowering period. (prob mid to late oct.)
but its very bushy with mad bud sites. Guna be decent harvest of amazing smoke. Shits guna be smelly as hell.
I had 100% germ rate or 99% germ rate with all the bubbas i got.
absolutely incredible growth .. fantastic plant.. its main stem was like a pineapple!!! so much branching I began to think it was too bushy.. .. got 4 .5 oz with a screen under 400w hps...
my ghs bk were the best smoke hands down..

it's a decent kush with a super funky stench. Actually, downright disgusting I think would be a better description. I only grew one freebie, but by all reports it represents the GHS BK pretty well.

Last year when I ran a couple of GH bubba's they also had this wierd Kush smell mixed with something else wierd lol. I may have to run some again as I didn't get to fully finish these plants but they were looking awesome
I've grown a 5pack of these and even with that limited amount of seed my results were very... mixed.
1 seed didn't germ at all.
1 was a runt.
1 hermied really badly. Lots of huge balls appearing directly under the buds. Impossible to manage by picking them off and had to be chopped so that the rest of the garden wouldn't be pollinated.
2 were great.
Greenhouse says/said that it's Bubblegum x Kush. However I have my doubts. This is a really slow growing variety, and certainly doesn't exhibit the kind of hybrid vigor one would expect from an F1 cross like that. What has probably happened is that GHS has read about the lineage of Bubba from Jason King's Cannabible 3 where Bubba is stated to be a Bubblegum / Master Kush cross. But I think that Jason King just got that info out of his ass.
GHS Bubba has a distinct taste (even there in the early picked hermie nugs). It has Rock hard buds that are really frosty. Really pleasant effects. Slow growing and doesn't like to spread to the sides at all, it grows like a stick. Not too great yielding. Really it's very much like the famous cuts are said to be. I think it's much more likely to be an S1 of the Apothecary cut than some new cross.
It's a real PITA to grow. But still worth it at least for personal stash. The buds are some of the best I've ever grown or smoked. I'm growing a clone I got from a friend now, gonna try to top it and veg it really long etc to try to get a decent yield. Pleased to have a preselected mom though, I think it's definitely the way to go with these (and probably with Bubba S1's from anyone else too).
With my huge experience of two plants that I've flowered out I'll say no, it isn't. However, it is a pain in the ass in many other ways.. for example it's ridiculously slow at vegging and has poor yields. But really good smoke.
Here she is at day 1 of 12/12. This is a clone from the first round were I grew 2 seeds of a 5 pack of GHS Bubba Kush fems. They've had a little fox farm and mostly worm poop from from my worm composter. If you haven't checked out a worm composter look into it, I dump all my organic garbage into and get more of the highest grade organic fertilizer than I know what to do with.
The first round was a lot like this one. I've vegged this one for 76 days to get her this big, as in 76 days from clone being cut to this picture. Of the two fem seeds one went hermie at week 4 and was tossed. This one though was pretty nice weed. Is it the pre-98 bubba my friend has and I've tried, no. But, in comparison, this one yielded more and showed a lot more vigor in flowering. My friends pre-98 tastes out of this world, but is old and tired and just not producing or growing fast.
I almost wish this had a dif name, I still think of the pre-98 as the one and only "bubba kush". Like maybe kushy bub or something. Regardless for the price of the seeds I found this a great plant outside of slow veg times. But the word "kush" and "slow veg" often go together unless we're talking master kush.
Flavor wise she leaned more towards bubble gum than the pre-98 in a side by side smoke down. Still has a nice kushy undertone, but I get more bubblegum in this pheno. Potency wise she leveled some heavy hitters, couch lock and pain relief, definitely not daytime happy energetic weed. More of a clubber for the end of the day, kind of puts a smile on my face then off to sleep before the movie I'm watching ends.
here's an update at day 28. Odor is starting to creep into the scene, kush smell at the moment. If like the first round it will really bulk up from now till harvest at around day 49.
she is starting to smell oh so good! odor control mandatory at this point! Day 35:
She is starting to fill in nice, good coffee/gas/mild skunk smell at this point.
At day 47 more of the bubblegum and coffee smells coming out of them. I'm thinking a few more days on these, the top colas are ripe but the lower buds are just turning over.
Final report on finish is 2.5 z. Same yummy taste as the first round. Did a side by side taste test against the old school bubba kush cut my friend grew and same conclusion. With only starting a couple seeds tough to review on one plant. But she is a bit more bubblegummy than the original, more coffeeish taste. Still great potency and for my bolted together back great for relaxation and pain relief.
Is there anyone else having problems with greenhouse seeds bubba turning hermie?
I had one that hermied bad in the first 2 weeks and had to be yanked, this was the only time I have had a plant go that bad so early on in flower.
Im at 3 weeks on the bubba so far no hermi, but it has little to no trichs at all, I have a sage next to it same time and everything it is covered already.
Mine is looking great so far (27 days) but I will be keeping a very close eye on her, I don't need it seeding any of my hazes. (nevilles gh and mr. nice, haw. snow, and arjans #1) My gh ww looked great till I finished clipping it. Lots of pollen sacks and seeds on the lower branches. I won't be making that mistake again.
edit to add my gh bubba started producing trics at week 2 and is very frosty already
i had placed an order with attitude seeds co a while back and got the following freebies,
super lemon haze
....all femed...when i flowered in the first 2 weeks the white widow hermied, then the bubba kush showed its first preflower...a male pre flower, then another male preflower, then a female pre flower, i have never seen a hermie like this but i didnt test it i just chucked it, but this should never have happend with female seeds, but it did
I also got a freebie.I got lucky and got 1 thats goin to stay in the garden for AWHILE. Mine is 4 weeks and 2 days in flowering and is super frosty, dense nuggets that actually do smell like a bubblegum, clones well and loves the nutes.Sorry Joe about the herms, they are such a waste of time but thats the chance we take.
No problems so far with the Bubba from GHS. The Bubba K. showed no Hermie but I had 1 GHS cheese which was 100% male. Lovely smoke, some tasted like sour berrys. the smell while flowering was strange, almost like mushrooms.
Veg is slow because of the way the plant is built. Fat stalk, wide thick leaves, just a general huskyness about her. Best way to go with Bubba is veg out cuttings for 35-40 days and grow SOG style, the leaves will be smaller and will take up less space in the garden.Im getting only very feint smells from her mostly of bubblegum with some notes of chem. Im starting a journal when I find some time so anyone interested can follow along...
and they do take up some serious space. She vegged for 42 days from seed and reached about 2 feet topped about 5 days before flower. This is her at 36 days since flip.
I got mine as a freebie too from the same place thats why im not really upset about it. I had the same problem as you kinda except mine was throwing pistils first for 10 days or so then tried going crazy male on me big time so I instantly yanked the "thing". It sounds like some people aren't having a problem at all so I guess we just got a couple free space wasters.

In this BLUNTED TV's video the grower shows the dry Bubba Kush buds (by Greenhouse Seeds) and shares his impressions. Although the smell and the taste are nothing like the original Bubba Kush that is a clone-only variety from California (that one has a sweet and coffee-like taste) it is extremely good in its own way. Besides the strong kushy aroma there is some strange but strangely delicious hint of insect smell. The buds are very dense and resinous, the effect - a narcotic indica couchlock. Even 1 gram of this stuff fills the room with its aroma when you open the jar.
The grower planted two seeds. One of the plants hermied, from the second one the grower took a clone because he thought it to be unique. Those who had received clones from him also thought very highly of them. Not one of Californian kushes was as high-yielding as the Bubba from GHS. The grower says he lets his bushes reach 4-6 feet in height and gets around 3-3.5oz per plant.
