Hawaiian Snow (Green House Seeds)
Hawaiian Snow can be grown outdoors in very warm climates (up to 40) and also indoors. It forms a tall and bushy plant which can be easily LSTd to control its height. The flowering time is 12-14 weeks. The heavy colas will need support at the end of flowering.
A strong, clear, uplifting high, very long lasting. It's suitable for wake-n-bake but the high makes some users tired and so is more suitable for late-afternoon use. A Cannabis Cup winner.
A connoisseur quality. Flowers, lilacs, overripe fruit, roasted onions.

A monstrously powerful effect, it changes your perception and can take you on an exciting and sometimes dangerous journey. The objects you look at can start moving and changing. You can get paranoid. You won't be able to relax. I strongly advise inexperienced smokers agains it. The smell of the Hawaian Snow is unmistakable if you have smelled it once... A very long wait for the harvest. Supporting of branches is a must, otherwise they'll break under the bud weight. The yield is good if the light and the care are adequate. I recommend to try it at least once... you won't forget it!
A very interesting strain that is very different from others, you can feel how special this one is + the effect is psychedelic and visual. If you grow it right and find a good pheno, it can also be high-yielding and resinous. One of the most interesting and intriguing strains. There's only one drawback - a long flowering time
11-gallon pot, HPS 400W, 12/12 from seed -- as a result the whole cycle was 4 months and the yield was about 9-11 oz of dry bud. Personally I didn't like this one. When the tolerance buids up a euphoric feeling gets replaced by fits of aggression to the slightest provocations. I think that in general sativas are a poor choice for people with nervous conditions... The tolerance builds up quite quickly.
I germed 4 HS seeds (standard), and ended up w/ all 4 being female. I grew them in ProMix, and fed them w/ liquid organic nutes...generally at half suggested strength.
They were vegged under a 400w halide for 45 days @ 18/6, and flowered @ 12/12 under a 400w HPS w/ five 42w spiral flourescent table lamps for side light. The 4 plants ranged from 56-74 days in flowering time (much shorter time than expected), and ended up being between 3 and 4 feet tall at harvest in 3 gal pots.
This is a pretty stinky strain during flower.
I ended up w/ 97g of dried, manicured, cured bud total from all 4 plants...slightly below my usual average per plant. I'm sure that a much better yield could be had w/ larger pots and more room and light...these 4 were grown in a 4x4' closet space w/ 8 other ladies.
I observed 2 phenos...pics 1,3, and 5 are of pheno #1, and 2,4, and 6 are of pheno #2
Of the 4 plants, one was pheno 1, and three were pheno 2.
The pheno#1 plant was the first HS harvested @ day 56, and was also the lowest yielding (20g). This plant reminded me alot of C99 in taste, form, and flowertime. It had almost a "rotten meat" smell during flower, and a strong soapy, sour grapefruit taste and smell at harvest, which has mellowed some after a month of cure.
The pheno#2 plant pictured was the last HS harvested... cut on day 74. This pheno was more like what I expected in form. It had a more pleasant "herbal" smell during flower, and a milder, sweeter, pineapple-grapefruit taste and smell after harvest.
The smoke from both phenos was smooth and potent. The buzz is strong and long-lasting, and about 50/50 in head and body, but it will put you to sleep if you over-indulge. I wouldn't recommend it as a "wake & baker"...you'll go out to the kitchen to get a cup of coffee, only to discover that you've forgotten what you went out there for. It's better left until you're over halfway through your day, IMHO.
I doubt any of my Hawaiian Snow plants would win awards, but keep in mind that I have only grown out 4 plants. I have no doubt of this strain's ability to produce some of the strongest smoke out there. Overall, I would rate it 8.5 out of 10 from my limited encounter w/ this strain.
I smoked some at the cup. Real nice wake'n'bake strain, not too strong, but a real clear and long lasting high.
I have a hawian snow. it's 8 ft tall. i knew i shoulda put it outside.
the Hawaiian Snow is quite resistant to the dreaded leaf spot. I had no problems with it on mine either.
Mine actually smelled like fresh picked lilacs with a touch of chives. An unmistakable aroma and flavour. I found an old bud in the back of my car and rolled it up...the HS characteristics are unmistakable.
I have always liked HS and I am not usually a Sativa kind of guy but this one is different, rich and satisfying smoke. One of the most potent strains anywhere as well.
the smoke isn't very strong-smelling, no skunk flavors or smells at all, just a lovely floral old-school aroma. The effect is very nice and uppy like I like it, and hits pretty hard. 3-4 hits and I'm baked, but I'm a lightweight. Everyone I've shared it with loved it.
Buds are so fat they are still not close to being dry after a week. I have a lot to be thankful for! Oh yeah, I made some bubble hash with the trim, got a few g of nice sandy hash, and it will flat make you trip.
I'm also growing hawaiian snow this year, but at 43°N...
She begun to flower at the beginning of october (oh, my, god.), so we were a bit disappointed by the HS and her 3meters tall.. Smell is incredible
...It smells like someone mixed a well done roasted onion in with some over ripe papaya and let it simmer down to a concentrate on an outdoor grill, exuding a most luscious aroma. The actual smoking experience of the Hawaiian Snow is the BEST from first toke to last, and it will cure any ailment and tatoo a smile on the most sour of pusses...what a nice buzz...and the smoke is so fragrant...
The HS turns purple if left outdoors to really ripen up, this cola smelled just like fresh chives and lilacs
Ripe, fragrant and luscious
I buried my face in a large ripe cola and it smelled very floral, lust like lilacs and fresh chives. The fragrance of a ripe Hawaiian Snow Plant is the BEST.
the Hawaiian Snow are such late bloomers, the WW was hanging heavy with buds when the HS was just beginning flowering...but what a strong finisher she turned out to be. Just superb genetics
What a great rot resistant strain... it is November 15, she has been growing for 6 1/2 months, and in fact would go longer if I let her. She is in fact the only green thing left in the fields! This wonderful sativa is indeed a testament to the seed breeding skills of the professionals at the Greenhouse Seed Company...and my compliments to the chef!
these wont finish at 50N. Im at 38.
they grew to be about 10 feet tall. This plant is truly exquisite when she finally matures. The colas smell like flowering lilacs!
I got anywhere from 8-9 oz per typical plant, but the giant one I called hula gal, probably yielded 14 or 15 oz.
My only issue with the HS is that it does not smoke very well in joints. Constant relights are necessary. I never smoked a joint of this that I didn't have to physically peel the roach from the clip. There must be something in the consistency of the trichs...even when trimming the scissors were much harder to clean. Those trichs are like epoxy glue.
fruity sweet papaya and fried onion (fried in golden butter, in Italy we call it "soffritto").... that's exactely the hawaiian snow flavour description for me.
Finished the test run completely. 2 month cure...
The 2 h. snow were very nice plants. Both looked the same but smell'd different and were lst'd. Flowering time for both was 14 weeks. Pheno 1 grew larger thicker buds and had a real fruity, sweet smell to her. She had a very mild, uplifting stone. Not much of a taste when vap'd. Great daytime smoke. Pheno 2 had more spearish buds, not as fat but more resin, she had a catpissish smell to her. The high was very good, hits you pretty good in the head but can make you tired. Nice nightime smoke or for daytime naps. The taste is kinda hard to place, green/woodish is best i can describe...
All in all I didnt find any keepers... I enjoyed h. snow pheno 2 the most outa the bunch.

Cannabissearch.com Buzz Rating: Noticeably piney and somewhat bland with undertones of floral sweetness on the exhale. Strong cerebral high accompanied by an enjoyably strong body high.
IWAS IN AMSTERDAM ON 2003 & FOUND THIS WEED AT THE GREENHOUSE....IN A WORD "AWESOME" YOU CAN TASTE IT EVEN IN A BLUNT WRAP.....AWESOME
For the second season we grew Hawaiian Snow outdoors. Yields were unreal, up to 1000g per plant. This plant takes extra work like staking and takes till November to grow but the wait is well worth it. These plants grow up to 4 meters tall and at least 4 meters wide. No mold pest problems. As far as quality goes I decribe it as "top shelf." The taste if lite and very nice.
Grew from seed in coconut base using Cyco hydroponic products. Grew outside towards the end of Australian summer, providing perfect light and temp. I was simply blown away by the type of high this plant provided. I lit up a small pipe and experienced a creeper that began with a smile, euphoric laughing, munchies attack and smooth decline back to reality three hours later. GROW THIS STRAIN!!!
Only two words: God Plant
When this plant is growing it has the look of snow on a mountain which is real cool. It has a wonderful aroma that hints to it's power, very little has been tried of the plant just samplings but they prove to show a lot of potential can't wait till full harvest. What effects it hints at are total body melts.
This little plant offers a great and very strong body high. You will love the effects the strain called Hawaiin Snow gives you. It tastes very sweet and smells so potent. This bud is very long lasting and has wonderful texture. If you like this bud you should try to grow it. It is very easy to grow and grows very fast.

Looks: Dense Buds, the pistils (hairs) are light, dusty orange, and are covering the buds. The buds are light green but appear yellowish green owing to the heavy trichome coverage. Any leaf left on a poorly manicured bud adds a slightly darker green to the bud.
Smell: Strong hazy aroma which becomes harder to describe with any other word than “haze” as I stick my nose in the jar. For anyone without a haze reference, think lightly sweet with a rich musty or spicy note that could border on astringent. The sweetness of the musky scent is not sickingly sweet. The smell of the ground herb is a much stronger musky astringent with practically no hint of sweetness. The astringent smell almost makes me sneeze.
Taste: The herb was smoked in an unpercolated bong. The flavor is very mild and slightly pine-y. The sweetness is dismissible in the flavor of the smoke and I can only taste a slight syrup-y flavor on the exhale, and that sweetness is only present in the first few green hits. Most of the flavor on exhale is a musty or piney flavor that almost mirrors the smell of the ground herb. I enjoy this hazy flavor, and I’m very partial to the musty aromas rather than the overwhelmingly sweet ones.
Effects: After 1 hit the buzz is noticeable. It starts as a heavy brain buzz that is extremely creeper. This bud makes me want to do something productive, or stimulate my mind in some other way. The high is very easy going. If you like sativa effects, these effects are fairly textbook.

This strain is hands down my favorite. The effect is perfectly described and makes it easier to do tedious things like homework, cleaning etc. Its also really fun in a social setting since it gives you an energy boost while not hindering your mental abilities too much.
This does taste very sweet and syrup-y and a very good head high
I’m high on Hawaiian Snow right now and it’s really one of the most pleasurable highs I’ve had in a while. I’m pretty clear-headed and not nearly as twitchy as I usually am while high. And I’m feeling productive, too. I’m really enjoying thinking.

Looks: Mostly medium green with orange-red hairs and dark green leafs.
Smell: Not overpowering, but slightly hazy and sweet.
Taste: Sweet fruit on the inhale with some expansion and fruity exhale.
Buzz Type: A floaty cerebral high.
Buzz Length: Long – I was high for 2+ hours.
Best Medicinal Use: Mood enhancement and stress relief
Overall: Collective owner gave this sample to me to try, and I like it. A nice looking, sticky bud that tasted as good, if not better, than it smelled. The sativa buzz smacked me right between the eyes on the 2nd hit and just got more intense after a cup of coffee and reading the news...nice creeper. The high was a nice floaty high, but didn’t seem to mess with my concentration at all. Left me fairly energetic and motivated as well. Definitely “cut the edge” for my anxiety, which is something I am always looking for, without causing drowsiness.
