LSD (Barney's Farm)
LSD is vigorous and hardy and can be grown by beginners BUT if you want a rewarding experience you should take into account some of its peculiarities. This strain has many phenos and most of them are good but produce quite different plants - from small, compact 'christmas-trees' to very tall bushes that lean - in all their characteristics including flowering time - to sativas rather than indicas. When you see how they stretch you might decide to top them but this would have a negative impact on your yields so you'd better use some other methods of height control - LST, SCROG, short veg. The lower branches have many bud sites and if you want them to fill out use some additional CFLs for the bottom growth. The colas get really fat and dense which invites mold in the last couple of weeks so humidity control is a must at this time. Also, LSD doesn't like temps higher than 82F (28C) and heavy feeding. This weed is uncommonly resinous which makes it a great choice for hash production. The plants have an intense smell in flowering. This is a top-notch outdoor strain for those who live in a warm temperate climate with dry and sunny autumn.
Powerful, happy, very psychedelic (hence the name), it makes you see more clearly and also sharpens other senses. Everything seems bright and joyful and your own thoughts become a source of pleasure. Some people hear voices. The high is better experienced in calm settings than in an unfamiliar environment. The first toke is felt in the head, then sets in the body and increases appetite. It helps with depression, anxiety, nausea, head aches. A Cannabis Cup winner.
Pleasant and delicious - earth, musk, citrus, skunk and pine.
