Description
Hollands Hope is a time honoured outdoor strain, one of the very first to be fully acclimatised and grown outdoors in Holland since the early 1980’s. Hollands Hope is noted for its mold resistance, this is a hardy and reliable variety that is ready for harvest around the end of September or early October after around 8 weeks of flowering.
This is a quality Indica bred to tolerate the Dutch outdoor climate but it will grow well in other outdoor climates. The plants are typically 1-2m tall, this is a heavy yielding Indica strain with a real knockout stone and has been a favourite outdoor strain of ours since the beginning.
Plants can yield anywhere from 100g to 1000g per plant depending on the growing conditions. Be careful not to give too much nutrition to Hollands Hope as it can encourage too many leaves and actually reduce bud production. Buds typically reach 50cm in length and contain small leaves.
Hollands Hope has been a reliable and productive outdoor strain for many years, the smoke is quite sweet and the effect is a heavy, sit-down smoke that will be appreciated by recreational smokers and medical users alike. The stone lasts for a solid couple of hours and many outdoor growers that plant Hollands Hope have done so for many years. At their best the plants develop into a heavy yielding bush with plenty of side growth. This variety comes recommended by a generation of outdoor growers.

Pyck (dutch-passion.nl):
Got 5 regular seeds, only 3 of them germinated, and 2 of these 3 plants were females. I got something like 85g on one plant, with a few organic fertilizer. The second plant isn't ready yet, but has a sweet smell. The first one has a mango-like smell, and strong psychoactiv effects. I didn't have to take care of it much, it grew easilly !

I know they say Hollands Hope is an outdoor strain but where I live you need a greenhouse to protect plants from the wind. So I grow in my old greenhouse and my favourite so far is Hollands Hope, it is a solid smoke, strong, heavy and intense, I can see why they kept selling it all these years. Yields are good, flavours always good when grown under the sun. I appreciate everyone has their own favourite strains but for me this is the best, after this I would say Passion#1 for a greenhouse net these are just my opinions.

Hollands Hope should be called Hollands Dope lol. I grew it in 2010 and it was much more powerful than I recalled from my previous outdoor grow around 2002. Mine had purple colours by the end of flowering along with very acceptable flavours, I can see why the dutch boys like it. DP claim this was bred for northern euro outdoor climates and all I can say is they came up with a knock-out indica that looks after itself. All you need to do is keep the rabbits away from her. I will grow this again in 2012

Last season i had three Hollands Hope outside on a hill in Austria. The weather was not so nice last year especially at the flowering time! There were some cold and wet days. But the HH´s didn´t show any signs of mold (mildew?).... So i can just say that this is a quite nice strain for colder areas! And i was VERY surprised of the nice smell and taste, which was really awesome for an outdoor strain. Never used any kind of fertilizer and the size and yield was quite good! Thanks to Dutch Passion

My friend got seeds two years running from Dutch Passion; two years running they went massive but did not bud. He grew them the second year because he thought the first year was caused by the very wet 2012 summer but 2013 was scorching and although they grew even bigger, they did not bud properly. He was forced to make bubble hash which was lovely but the quantity did not even save enough money to cover costs. Knowing that HH was an excellent strain a few years back and that he is a very experienced grower (20 years indoors and outdoors), this result shows to me that Dutch Passion company have not kept on top of their genetics in Europe, preferring to cash in on the name. IN FUTURE AVOID HOLLANDS HOPE FROM DUTCH PASSION COMPANY, you are risking your liberty for a plant that will not bud properly and giving money to a company that has sold out. NB. This comment only applies to Dutch Passion HH, I have no experience of other company's HH plants, they may be ok! #Hollands No Hope #Hollands Hopeless

grow well but the 'feminised' seeds were 25% male!
GuerrillaRovere (seedfinder.eu):
Very nice plant for outdoor places(also on middle mountain for example Pre-Alps territories), especially for guerrilla gardens; particular the soft and delicate resin flavor awesome bubblehash production withless bad effects, so really calming and couchlocking buzz.
Stausch (howtogrowmarijuana.com):
Grows well in temperate marine climate. Yields pretty consistent six ounces of resiny kind of leafy buds per plant. Five hours direct sun is minimum for a good yield, seems potency is tied to amount of direct sun plant receives. Responds well to standard Miracle Grow fertilizer, very hardy, resists bud mold during wet Septembers. Ready to harvest around first week of October. Good for making dry sieved Hashish.

I have 3 HOLLANDS HOPE plants (outdoors) that I started from seed back in mid-April.. Today is Sept. 22nd, all 3 plants are now within 10 days of harvest... These 3 plants are absolutley unbelievable in size, one being 7', one being 8' and one being a little over 10' tall... They are without question the biggest plants with the biggest buds that I have ever seen... I estimate a yield of 5 to 6 lbs between the 3 plants.. If your'e an outdoor grower looking for a high yield, HOLLANDS HOPE is your ticket!!

To me this seemed like a noteworthy strain, not only because it starts to flower early (like early August) but also because it's kinda strong, easy-to-grow and high-yielding. It can be compared to Passion #1. I think they are very similar. The Passion #1 had a more interesting effect and Hollands Hope is more productive.
